This is a fuel and oil proof one a I intend to use the pump to be able to spray de-greasing liquids etc.
Does it still have that round gauze filter in the bottom of the pick-up tube?

Cut off with a multi tool.Couple of questions if I may:
How did you cut out the old sill? And I assume that is a two part plastic filler, a bit like body filler but more flexible ? I ask because I am getting fed up replacing the body filler in my front window sill every three or four years. The water gets in the join between the front sill, the return sill down the side of the bay and the latter sill on the front porch.
The porch pre dates us owning the house so must be well over thirty years old and the house is early 1930 so it is probably time for some serious attention.
Cut off with a multi tool.
Slow and thankless task.
New cill was then glued and screwed into place with a small rebate all around for resin.
The resin is repaircare dryflex. About 46 quid each pair of tubes (2part system)
Also requires a 2 part stabilizer before using the resin. Acts as a hardener and a key for the resin to bond.
1hr resin is suitable for small repairs and small joins. Doesn't take stain.
The 3-4-8-16 hour resins will all take stain too.
Can be drilled carved screwed.
Expensive but it's the only thing I will use for repairs like that.
Car body type filler is ok short term then fails and the water gets behind it causing even worse damage.
Well worth the money.i always try and make sure all the water traps have resin on the flat and vert. Stops it rotting there again.Thank you, multi tool will be very slow I can see that. The repair system is interesting, as you say the polyester filler is only good for a couple of years despite putting over existing timber treated with wood hardener. It can wait until next summer, I only re did it last year.
