hey thats nice! only thing on the down side of mine was cutting the boards at a 45 degree cut bevel for the gate finish it took ages to cut and the blade slowed the wood was wet this didnt help, apart from that I can not fault it

Even mains saws struggle more on the 45.
Partway between a rip and crosscut plus a deeper cut.
Do Milwaukee do a mains battery adapter.
Worth considering for bigger jobs.

I have seen bowls no where as nice as yours sell for more than £80 at some of the shows down here in southern land

Partway between a rip and crosscut plus a deeper cut.
Do Milwaukee do a mains battery adapter.
Worth considering for bigger jobs.

Not sure I will have to investigate it would have been handy on this job but TBH the xcut saw is good on batteries

Thank you for the compliment! Most expensive one I sold last night was the wee hollow form on my left, at £25. And that was bought by the husband of a lady selling her glassware; she'd seen it and handled it before opening and had been dropping not so subtle hints all evening!

This Dowel Plane was in the box I acquired the other day.
Dirty, full of worm, mismatched handles. But the blade was still very sharp.



The metal work, was hand made. So the threaded parts had to be hand dressed to repair the damage.



One screw broke off during the dismantling. Below the surface, in hard wood.




So it was machined out, using a Flat Rotary file in a pillar drill and a beech hard wood dowel fitted.



The two original handles were not only different, both were split and full off worm.
They are dead now, I committed mass murder with a micro wave.
So ne handles were turned down and hot fitted, with rock sulphur as glue.



This wad of paper was found under the blade during the strip down. So it was dried out and refitted. You have to keep some history.




The wood was cleaned and waxed. During the cleaning the new wood was mixed with the old. This allows some dirt to transfer from one to the other to ages the new.
The metal was "blacked" and the blade dressed. Not that it took much to get an edge.
