Where do get your wiring from? I'll need some brown multicore charging wire (for the dumper about 40amp) but only seem to be able get it by the roll.

How much do you need? I should have some in the workshop.

But now I can wash bits of motorbike under a hot tap without taking the plates out of the sink...

Now on the 4th set of taps. If this set leaks Im going to throw it all out in the garden.

They used to shred old tyres, but I don't know if that still happens.

Yes. There’s a company locally, paid to take ‘scrap’ tyres. Most lorry tyres go to Gambia. The rest get shredded, for play matting etc.

The zGermans use it in roads. No water pooling, so zero spray, better braking, quieter and harder wearing.

Holy Balls!

I made some holes in some balls:

They'll be used to cap off the end of some tommy-bars. I prefer the idea of having them screw on the end of the tommy-bars, but I've got a lot of custom screws to make in the near future and it's a lot quicker to make them this way (they just get glued on the end of the bar). I made a lot more than I need in the near future, but they can live in a drawer and be available as soon as required.

Yes, and a bowl under it, and a mop beside it.

There used to be a place in The Forest of Dean, I think it was Lydney that scrapped old tyres. There was a yard full of them, It caught fire one day, you can imagine the result!

Old tyres are now an alternative form of energy believe it or not, replacing fossil fuels and I would imagine more lucrative than play grounds.

They were still performing a few months back when I did a job in there, wish I had a quid for every tyre on that site.

Hello Morrisman, if you like a challenge try wiring a 70's Citroen DS. Citroen used black cable throughout with coloured sleeves on the ends to distinguish. Except by now all the sleeves are beige and the insulation is falling off the cable.
I'm re-wiring my DS Safari, originally it had four fuses and one relay. So far I'm have 16 fuses and 16 relays. I've added a lights left on buzzer, interior light delay, handbrake warning light and a rear wiper and washer. The switchgear is marginal at best so I have put relays on every switched circuit, even a relay for the starter solenoid. The ignition switch is almost £200 so I try to take the pressure off. I used British Standards wiring colour codes. As Hood said, vehicle wiring products are the business.
I must admit I am not a fan of the blue and red crimp on connectors. I expect the ones I used in my youth were cheap and nasty. I still prefer to use brass terminals, crimped and soldered.

I got loads of brownie points by refitting our old kitchen in a utility shed, even repurposed an electric shower for instant hot water.

But it comes in so handy for me, I can wash either my greasy hands or engine bits without having to remove my mucky boots & no complaints about leaving a grease ring behind!

Yep, new drain going in. Screwfix didn’t have the bottle gully I wanted and rained off anyway, so one to finish off next weekend.
