Sometimes you're just in the at the wrong place at the wrong time.
As guy accidentally discharged one shot with an M240. Lands a head shot at 3000 meters on a moving target killed him instantly. They said if the poor guy had his side window closed he would have survived.

The M240 is chambered for 7.62x51 NATO and it has a long barrel similar to a sniper rifle length wise .
Anyway I agree with what you wrote sometimes it's impossible to save yourself from the destiny.
Always keep in mind an episode happened some years ago.
A guy had a lot of accidents in a month ,he survived every one of these.
The month after he lost the control of his (I think was a Pajero) car that has rolled over something like 30 times,he survived this .
Once he got out of the car and went down the hill , his car rolled over another time ,took speed , pointed to him and killed him .
I am of the opinion that this guy had to die .
When God or whoever (I don't know how works for non Christians) call us there is no way to keep staying here .
Since we born it's being written when we have to die .

More kitchen building, nearly done then I can get back in the tractor and a couple of 1930's table saws I'm renovating.

All remaining carcasses fitted, some were a pain as nothing in the kitchen is square and there were pipes from the bore hole to work around especially in this corner.

I'm not impressed with the sink, it looks ok and the missus likes the design but the quality is a bit crap and the plumbing non standard. I aim to fit and forget so will replace with something better when we replace the worktops, these are temporary. The temporary worktops and sink will end up in the bar in the barn

The wife wanted a fold down pastry worktop that is lower than a standard worktop so she can knead dough and roll out pastry easier plus easier for the kids to cook as they both enjoy cooking. Here's the prototype, two stainless fold down hinges and its surprisingly rock solid.

Once she was happy I built the end of the cabinet out 100mm to allow for a socket either side of the peninsula and added the oak face frame with pocket hole screws.

Just the other side of the peninsula to frame, baseboard to make and fit then I'm onto dovetail drawers and doors which I can largely mass produce in the workshop. The ugly fold down table will be hidden behind a pair of doors.

Then it is expensive worktop time. The whole of the kitchen and utility room built from birch ply and quarter sawn oak, some 25 cabinets, is coming in around 5k with fittings, not counting my time. I expect the new sink and worktops will almost match that. Not sure if it will be Corian, granite, quartz or whatever yet, the missus wants to see the finished cabinets before choosing, hence the temporary worktops.

Nice build, I am going to use birch ply to make the main kitchen as i need 700mm deep cabinets and i just like the idea of a kitchen no one else has.

I'm making some screws for my bandsaw with integrated sliding tommy bars. To fit them, the tommy bar will have to be slid back and forth to avoid various bits of vice etc that will get in the way. Once they're tightened, they should only need to turn 1/4 turn or less to loosen them up enough to adjust whatever they're clamping, so the tommy bar won't need to slide. Given that the bandsaw vibrates a fair bit when its cutting, I thought it would be a neat solution to have a little brass knurled screw in the head of the main screw that tightens down on the tommy bar and holds it in place.

I'll hopefully finish the main screws this evening so I'll post some photos in case that doesn't make any sense. The bodies are already done and marked up with the angle that I'd like the tommy bar to sit at when its tightened; just need to cross drill the hole for the tommy bar and add the M6 locking thread for the brass screws.

So I drove the entire morning in the industrial quarters near home with my neighbor, little bit of highway .
Went to the firewood deposit loaded the car and back to home .
Learned to keep the car braked using clutch and throttle while driving uphill (I don't remember how it's called this condition)
Learned also to start moving in the same conditions using the parking brake
All this with the car loaded .
After that I went to the driving school , driving much better and the instructor said me that I can drive but I have to do more practice to get better , next week others 6 driving lesson and the week later I will have to drive in night condition .
After all that I can start thinking about the driving exam .

After that this evening I went to buy some meat and helped a British lady to tell to the butcher what she wanted to buy.
So I got also little bit of English conversation today
Now I have little bit of time to do more but I don't know what to do, I'll probably clean up my tools to relax little bit my mind .

Ive recently been making a tube bender, as I need some tight radius bends in some 3/16" copper pipe and some bends in some 3mm stainless steel tube.

with a 2" length of 3/16" brake pipe clamped in place.

and with the former in place on a handle to make the bend

showing the former after the bend has been completed

and the completed items, the need more work doing to them though

why do these "little" jobs seem to take so much time to do? and if you hadn't guessed what they are for, they're for part of the boiler to go with my next model steam engine. Now that I have made these parts I can now draw the plans for it, as I wasn't sure I'd be able to make them, but where there's a will, there's a way I guess.

I've forgot to mention that this evening I've cut down a dead tree using the famous 7Hp Active chainsaw
I had to check it yesterday because my buddy said me that it was bogging down while cutting hard wood.
Sharpened the chain , little bit of carb tuning because was set for warmer weathers ,and ordered a new clutch and clutch bell .
But it's enough functional to do the job now

Smaller the parts you are working on higher the skill to make the job done with pretty good looking results

the circular die for the 3/16 I used tiny milling and grinding spindle in my lathe, and the 3mm die used a form tool, I would have ground a form tool for the 3/16 tube, but this way was quicker.

the straight dies were done by drilling a hole in the die and then milling the face down to leave half the hole. this is an earlier version using a 3/16 drill to check the fit with the straight die and circular die

the clamping block had the 3mm and 3/16 holes drilled in them and then were cut with a slitting saw (again on an earlier version) to keep the alignment correct

You can make bending formers for brake pipe using mudflap washers mounted on a bolt. You use several of a smaller size for the curve radius & a larger size either side of these as the guides. For larger curves use discs cut with a hole saw from plywood.

To do this you need a pair of largish Cahones as these are hardened and you need to be really careful, this stuff really destroys taps but as we can only have single shot centre fire's you need a simple way of cocking the gun for each shot. I make cut knurled Titanium cocking handles, it is a simple solution:

Do you do all that practical rifle stuff then? I was very interested in all the mods that people started to develop after the SLR ban to make the AR15 platform a decent straight pull system. No experience of it whatsoever, but quite interesting to see.
