That wouldn't work, the lower seat and the insert have multiple grooves and the top has a single. The wider insert has 1 more groove than the narrower one so the lower grooves and the top groove don't line up on the holder with respect to the thinner insert. The tool holder .. You've got the machinery to shave 0.5 mm off each side of the cutter holder ?
I like this...Finally drilled the holes in my welding table. This was a bit of a trial run for the Mag Drill. I am going to drill the hot bench next but I have a plan, total overkill but it will look good. This is the table and some Kennedy F clamps modified a la @Tangledfeet :

Table folds up nicely flat against the wall. I was very pleasantly surprised at just how accurate the holes in the table turned out.

I think I shall be doing a copy...Thank you, copied from a picture of a trendy Ikea table on the web.
The bar at the back is at 90degrees to the table so a clamp there clamps the workpiece square to the table surface. I must say, I did impress myself.

Brilliant, please do and thanks. If you need any measurements let me know. I will take a pic of the underside if you like?

I once used a cheapo caliper for the manual Bridgeport but couldn't drill the bleeding thing even with a carbide drill, ended up welding a bit to the endWell not today but just before I collected the Centec.

I love the "Mug for scale" mug, for scale. What's the faceplate for?I made a selection of round objects today:

The main shaft thing took two attempts as I completely c**ked up the diameter of the shaft and made it a beautifully close sliding fit in the hole in the aluminium disc instead of the need-an-oven-and-a-freezer interference fit I was aiming for. Second time was spot on though.

About 6' slim build and dark hair. How big is the mug?
Finished my croquembouche.
