Wouldn't waste a good flap disc on steel, they only get used on Alu or StainlessOh aye, conveniently a flap disk for scale. We can tell what type of stick welder you are.
Add a perimeter bead, and you will also have a theft resistant drip pan.Finished it.
3 pass weld on top, not the tidiest as I am out of practice with stick on steel, must be a couple of years since I have done any. Also not keen on the Bohler rods.

The biggest problem you’ll have is the second time they come. After they’ve been defeated the first time and had a think.I've used a 50mm toweye cemented into the concrete before.
If your got 1/2 and hour and a grinder any way is futile if they want it.
Aye but it would have to be a still saw as even a 5" grinder won't have the reach as it is 3" diameter. Having said that the weak point will be the chain anyway as it is only an Oxford Beast. In the future I may make my own device up, a U shape made of box with a smaller solid rod inside, the box will be filled with carborundum and resin, that should hopefully kill a cutting disc.I've used a 50mm toweye cemented into the concrete before.

Its an Africa Twin, hopefully it will be used on much slippier stuff than wet steelThe biggest problem you’ll have is the second time they come. After they’ve been defeated the first time and had a think.
It annoys me we even have to consider stuff like this
@Hood odd but serious question - you gonna paint that sheet with grippy stuff? Wet bike tyres will be fun on that.
