So I turned some beech square blanks into rounds.
Using a old shaft I draw round it, one side on, the other on the side.
Using that you shape the handle with draw knifes, rasps(Fine) and sand paper.
Be mindful they may come undone. I ended up having to put bolts on mine to stop them coming undone constantly.Yup, more knurled brass.

Knurled nuts so I can fold the top half of the lawnmower handle over, without having to use the spanner.
As Italian I say Beretta B92 an Benelli M4 super 90Always liked the P229, if you want a crowd pleaser, the MP5 was hard to beat along with a couple of flashbangs!
Agree about the iShiny-shiny though!

Lead to cold, plus may have poured to fast.Decided to use copper tube for the lead hammer. First used CuP to braze a sheet on the end. Im thinking I will keep this as a copper faced end that wont deform too much. Shrunk badly, must have had an air bubble.

Reheated, poured some more in and another ingot.

Turned copper off the lead end. Big air bubble. Used pcd insert. Lead tarnishes instantly.

View attachment 309133I will do another when I find my length of 28mm as this is only 22mm. 350grams.
Unsure best way to fit a handle. Im thinking to drill an oval hole and knock a wooden shaft in, but Im tempted to use it without. Will use mostly for tapping parts true in lathe.
I’ve seen some machinists just use a lead cylinder with no handle for bumping parts in a chuck.Decided to use copper tube for the lead hammer. First used CuP to braze a sheet on the end. I did warm it, probably not enough. It cooled a bit while I skimmed the slag off the lead.Lead to cold, plus may have poured to fast.
Did you warm the copper first?
The Benelli M4 is very nice - especially with solid slugs, never used the B92, the yanks seemed to like it though! As Italian I say Beretta B92 an Benelli M4 super 90
The bolt looks awful close to being too short.
BTW my mower has a similar mod except I had some plastic thumb screws with brass inserts so I used them. The bolts are Hayabusa brake caliper bolts
Today some of the other lads made a big smell, I made it disappear as quickly as possible.

You don't need to steerI’d love to have a go at ploughing, though I can’t keep a straight line over 10m mowing the grass, so what I’d do to a field that size who knows…
The first thing I thought of seeing that was a pali rocket launcher but the wrong way round!Collected from the galvanisers yesterday,2 piece cattle grid, farmer has his own method of fixing to the pit.View attachment 309177
