Finally scraped the cross-slide on my Harrison, just needs proper reassembly.




Using a block to measure of the square as it is scraped.




Had a good amount to remove had to use a file to get the worst of it.

Well a bit yesterday and finished off this afte a gun rack for the club ( 12 gauge )

made up of 25 x 25 box display stand and some SS threaded rod of a shower tray

it does prove my tig welding is pants , even with a good mask I'm struggling for good vision

Flap disc and bit of green paint works wonders

some airline hose on the studs and back rail for protection of ribs and barrels and it'll get a rubber mat on the shelf .

Finished and fitted the “food tray” roof rack that I featured on these pages previously,there’s a box going on later and a spoiler.

Not with all the Ronseal in Kansas!

Need to figure out if I can replace the sill without replacing the whole frame, I'll go back tomorrow with a die grinder and some wood chomping bits.

Multitool off the whole cill flush with the frame. Die grinder to remove all the rot from underneath. Resin up the rot with repaircare dryflex then glue/screw new cill in place and resin the joint to prevent future ingress

Bookshelf/display cabinet on the island was made from end panels and the frame system.

Note the grain changes direction and plenty of two part filler.

They do a single tube version. Mixes on exit iirc.

Don't need a multitool but easier and neater than using a chisel.

Prefer fitting wren but Howdens are better for getting replacement/missing parts in a hurry

Wren come with doors/drawers fitted on all units Inc pull outs. Saves a lot of time

Did you have to make any adjustments to the screw/bronze nut Dimensions?

I thought it would be there is plenty slop so it fits.

It's missing the taper but that's pretty easy to recreate, the leadscrew is different from standard lathe
