Not perfect as blocks the GPS and poor thing certainly struggles lifting an extra 192g (77% of its weight!) but honestly hilarious that it worked and my quick mount for the iPhone 8 is such a perfect fit only taking 2 attempts, phone slips in effortlessly and requires 900g pushing before it starts to slide!

I haven't decided yet! I now have 6 Nema 17's and the one 23. I also have a load of 2020 extrusion and lead screws. I just enjoy designing and building useless contraptions! My inverse kinematic arms are nearly finished so it will probably be an extension of them.

Well so far these parts are stupidly strong with 25% cubic infill, 4 perimeters and 1mm top/bottom. Just spent £150+ on parts from aliexpress to build the full thing (would have cost £250+ from ebay).

Made Kali some new glasses coz she sat on her last pair. "But they only cost €3 at the China Shop!", says she. True but you can't imagine how much I have learned about 3D design and printed supports etc in the process, and the next pair can have flowers, leaves, butterflies etc on the rims and arms. I'm very pleased with the hinges, which work great, are strong and were easy to assemble.

One of the reasons I like hand-tool woodwork is I can have music on in the background while I plane stuff (no ear defenders needed!) and it's nice to have the phone out so I can see what's playing:

I need a phone holder for my Mondeo. The rest of the family swear by the BluKar ones that clip into the air vent. Tried that on mine and managed to snap off the little chrome trim piece:

I'd had my lad copy the triangular dash blanks a while ago (for a push button for something else). I got him to print another and I drew up a little clip to go over the BluKar hook:

Just pulled the trigger on a refurbished creality V3 Se 3d printer. (not delivered yet) and can't wait to join in on this thread.

It was all my budget would allow for at this time, and Im not sure how much use I will get out of it so didn't want to splash out £800 for a bamboo labs fancy thing. But im hoping to make parts for the car restos and moulds for carbon or fibreglass parts etc.
