My new bandsaw has a very neat cam-action blade tensioning thing so that it's easy to take the tension off the blade when not in use and then get it back to the same tension again. While that's a great idea, it introduces a risk of me forgetting to tension the blade before starting the motor.

Another fairly quick print. I've no doubt these would be quite easy to make out of (4.75 mm thick!) wood, but 3D printing them was easy and used about 80p's worth of filament for three inserts, so a lot better than paying Record £14 each:
All printed with 100% infill. I figured with 100% infill I could cut the solid one with the bandsaw blade to make a zero clearance insert if I need one.

I didn't think that 3D printing them would work so I spent time cutting several squares of 5 mm chequer plate , screwing them to a sacrificial board ( treads to the tailstock end ) attached to my lathe face plate with a 3 mm central screw attaching hole , turning them to the right thickness of 1/8 inch at /for the rim so they sat flat in the recessed hole , then turning them out /off as chamfered edge disc .

What sort of thicknesses & diameters are your plates ?
What's the idea of the holes , won't they make catch points for fibres? My band saw is a two speed wood or metal jobby
Have you managed to make an interlocking ( half at a time printed slot plate for your saw bench blade ? ( My next big 3D project ? )

In answer to your questions:
The plate is 4.75 mm thick and 70 mm diameter. The holes are there to allow sawdust an alternative path to the vacuum cleaner. I've no idea whether they help, but the original had them, so I copied it.
I'm not sure what you mean regarding the saw bench, but if you're talking about a table saw zero clearance insert, then no. I'm in the process of trying to sell the table saw, so I can't see me doing in the future either!

The 3D printer has been in full bandsaw mode for the last few days.
The latest is a Maskery pattern dust extractor:
and yes, I could have made it out of 40 mm pipe and brackets like Steve Maskery did, but that would have involved going to a shop, and where's the fun in that?
The three brackets each have two very strong 20 mm diameter, 6 mm deep magnets glued into the back face (which is curved to match the shape of the door: a 1.5 metre radius curve!)
The bottom piece (printed in black) is shaped at the end to match all the other bits and pieces in my garage (actually based on the outside diameter of the tools that came with vacuum cleaner, so I can still use those without disconnecting the dust box).
Close-up of the top bit to show how it works for those too lazy to watch Steve's video (the sawdust you can on the underside of the table was there before I fitted the dust catcher):
I was far too lazy to do as thorough a test as Steve did in his video, but I thought it was worth resawing a bit of 150 mm poplar in half and seeing what happened:
Not perfect, but pretty darn good:

My Rexon bandsaw already has a side port dust extraction point for the vacuum hose to slip into .
I didn't think an 1/8 of an inch thick lip pf plastic on the print would be safe enough for the insert , But thinking about it I can always make the insert 6 mm thick and have a 1/8 thick rim to it .
I can't think of the correct name for the plate I mentioned that the bench sawblade pokes through to stop small bits of wood dropping down the side of the blade . Seem to recall that they are over £25 each and not guaranteed to fit your saw bench or table top saw.

Some hex key things: some holders for mounting some t-handle hex keys up high in between two areas of the garage that I use them a lot and some sleeves to colour code them in the same colours as my normal hex keys:
'scuse the odd angle of that photo, they're tucked in between two cleat-mounted things in the joists, so it wasn't easy to get a photo!
Here they are next to the normal keys:
Unfortunately I don't have any red or pink filament to make the sleeves for the 3 mm and 4 mm keys and I doubt I'd use enough to be worth buying a reel. I don't suppose anyone has any red & pink filament that they'd be willing to send me a couple of metres of in an envelope? Buying a kilogram when you need about a metre seems a bit ridiculous...

A black PETG block with M20x1.5 threads. This for the SWA and 20mm flexible conduits to my gate motor:
I don't draw much now, just throw the idea at my lad who designs whatever and prints.

From what he explained coupled with what little I took in, it keeps the stringing "inside" or something.
