If you haven't tried Cura v5 yet, give it a go. It has a much improved slicing "engine" and produces faster and better quality prints.

Ref coasting, my lad wrote this explanation along with a couple of renders for his simple old man:
"The white dots indicate the end of an extrusion path. With coasting turned on the extruder stops slightly before the end of the path (hence the small gaps) and allows the "dribble" from the extruder to finish the path so that there is less to dribble while the printer traverses to the start of the next path, and thus hopefully less stringing. Although I'm not convinced it does much".
Whatever that means!

I took a bit of a punt on a new-ish microprocessor board there isn’t much documentation on. Its attraction is it has wifi, Bluetooth, i2s bus and built in amplifier which can run stereo 3W speakers or line out.
What that all means is it can connect to your wifi at home and act as media player. Or put another way, a Sonos smart speaker without the price tag. All in its cost me £16. On the -ve side I was almost on my own when it came to making it all work code wise.
And of course it needs a housing.
Pretty happy with the way the whole thing turned out.

Not today, but recently... New knobs for the caravan window catches,
soft gasket in matching colour for the project car's door handles
and mostly; replacements for the Lucas L750 door marker lights as well as a white version for puddle lights. Reconditioned originals sell for £75, NOS are £100 and are fitted to Ferrari* I believe, as well as Scimitars.
*Maybe Aston Martin, being British, I can't remember.

Did you print the light lenses?
Im very tempted to print custom rear light units (lense and lense holder) for my project car.
My concern is the lenses are usually diffused in a particular way so the light beam doesnt blind people.
Might end up going with off the shelf lights with a custom fixture.

Chap over on Capripower has printed red translucent lenses from memory.

Yes, the red ones are TPU translucent red and the white ones are PETg transparent. I was very pleased with the way that they light up.

i quite often use 7ah lead acid batteries at work as a temp supply
they sit in the van , go flat, wear thru the tape i have protecting the tabs, and are generally a pita
i have tried them in boxes, but the smallest abs box rs does that will hold one then makes it too big the wedge in where i need to
