I know what you mean. I do quite a lot of programming (in C, python & assembly language among others), use Vim as my text editor of choice and am quite comfortable working at the Linux command prompt. I still find git (upon which github is built) an unintuitive program and do all my version control with Mercurial instead.

Having said that, if all you want to do with it is download FreeCAD, then go here: https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD_assembly3/releases, scroll down until you see a list of filenames, download the version for your platform (if Windows then probably FreeCAD-asm3-Stable-Win64-Py3-Qt5-20220111.7z at a guess). You'll need 7zip to open it (but that's worth having anyway) and I haven't downloaded it recently, so I don't know what you have to do from there!

Its just batch file that you run no install needed just unzipping

Is this 'fur' above a void in the infill?
Can you increase the number of top layers in your slicer?
It may help with the finish of the slope

No it isn't pillowing. The surface is fine below the fur.

I can, but a PETg version prints clean, so it has to be a settings issue.

Looks like a partially blocked nozzle or poor extrusion. Your sidewalls don't look too good either.

Mine has done the same on pla.. it was fouling on the nozzle.. pla stuck or burnt onto the outside around the taper

Interesting. I didn't think that there was an issue with blockage because the extrusion comes through easily and straight. I will have another look though.

Yes, that is how I had it set up, although it was in the enclosure with internal temperature around 35C.

Hot end pressure will typically be higher printing solid flat areas for a number of reasons (less space for excess filament - especially true if over extruding, faster extrusion etc) if your feed tension is too low then slipping could occur.

I might be getting carried away with the whole "pimp my printer" thing, but I managed to convert the STL file for the LCD cover into a STEP file. Did I mention I like gears?

Quite pleased with how the multi-colour thing came out with the black showing through the gear outlines but not visible around the rim of the part. That took a bit of thought, but it worked well. There are a few places where I could have done with cleaning up the bits in between the gear teeth, but I can live with that.

Why? Yellow is not a colour I especially like and I don't have any yellow filament. I might reprint it in black - it looked good when it was on a black background (over the original cover).

Yellow is sunny, cheerful and bright. It also goes well with blue. No co-incidence then that our business colours are blue on yellow!

Should you want a colour you don't have, I'm sure I could find you some. I seem to have everything bar purple and pink.
