Does anyone have a design for an internal divider please? I want to make an internal measurement to 1mm resolution at a range of 140 to 180mm. I have checked Thingiverse and Cult3D but nothing there, unless I need to search with "caliper" instead perhaps?
Edit... Nope! I do have the correct tool at the shop but a 12 mile round trip isn't worth it. I can design one, but not going to waste a sunny day sitting inside the house.

The way that I do it is to keep an eye on the print and at the right time, I cut off the incoming filament at the top of a piece of feed tube that comes up from the direct extruder. Once it has gone down half an inch or so, I then feed the new colour behind it until the gears grab it.

The black letters are on a layer of their own (the front label is an insert so that it can be printed on top rather than on a side face). PrusaSlicer has an option to insert a colour change instruction at a layer change, so it's very easy to print it. When it finishes the previous layer, it moves the extruder to the front right corner of the bed and lets you unload the filament and then load in some new filament.
As far as I'm aware, you can use PrusaSlicer with non-Prusa printers, but I've no idea whether the filament change instruction is supported by other printers.

Take advantage of the sunny day. Buy two ice lollies, save the sticks and use them as story sticks to take your measurement. They will cover the 140-180mm range you want.
Obligatory 3DP content: make a hollow rectangular housing for the sticks with a flexure to keep them pressed together while you transfer the measurement.
The ID calipers above need some re-engineering. The knob will tighten on its (LH) thread as you open them and loosen as you close them. The hinge tension needs to be independent of leg movement.

I printed an adapter on my Ender 3, to allow me to set the 'throttle closed' gap on my throttle bodies using the airflow meter I got from @indy4x.
Normally the throttle stops are factory set to meter the idle mass airflow and you don't mess with them but I had to remove the blades to change out the worn shaft bushes. The only good way to re-align the blades is to undo the stops and let the blades snap into the chokes then tighten the clamp screws, so these need re-seting. I have some un-touched ones to take a reading from first.

Probably just me thinkin this, bu it might be more successful as a printed mould, dipped in a thinned RTV rubber then peeled out?
