Thanks for the reply. It was more so you could have a stock on hand of all reasonable combinations that fit in that same box. Then if you need one, you just send the appropriate file to the printer.

The STLs would be very useful as the TS boxes are good and available in black. I tend to remove the external lugs and sharpie over the writing as it gives a nicer profile (but then spoil it with white, red and grey glands).

A fairly long print that took up most of the bed of the printer:

It's got four 20×2 mm magnets buried inside the print (I programmed a pause into the slicer after the first few layers, superglued the magnets in, then told it to carry on):

My beloved metric-only Mitutoyo digital calipers won't live there most of the time (they're usually safely in their box), but it's handy to have somewhere close to the lathe to put them and have them out of harm's way. A lot of the other holes and slots are just intended for whatever seems useful at the time: the tommy bars, insert boxes and insert screwdrivers will probably stay there, as will the long-angle lathe file on the side, but everything else will come and go as projects change I think.

Blue and yellow things on the right are packs of inserts for carbide tooling. The yellow thing in the middle is a torx screwdriver for insert tooling; the blue thing on the left is a deburring tool and the big blue thing is a 3D printed stand that holds all of the above

The magnets are just there to stop it from sliding around.

One lad at work had a new iPhone with the LiDAR stuff. I’ve been keen to try it for ages but my phone doesn’t have it. He said he just downloaded the first free app, and then we scanned this in about 3 minutes after work.

I only got the .stl file off him, and I didn't manage to fix the windows very well. But ended up with this.

Quite impressed.

I’d been playing with hollowing out figures, and printing solid, just to see the affects on the finished model. Unfortunately, I forgot that I had a bit of a problem with the hole to drain the resin. Oh well, I thought, I’ll drill a hole after printing.

Guess who forgot about it. I cured the resin, and even let it sit for a few weeks before painting. Got 95% done, and set it aside, a month later, and I noticed a puddle that looked very like resin, on top of my bookshelf. On inspection, I saw that my ‘monster’ had slowly exploded.

Ooops! Won’t forget that again.

Well nothing lost, I’ll just add him to a scene as a dead or exploding soon to be dead ‘un. Wee touch of crimson should do it. But yes, I’ve heard folk mention not having sorted out drainage on a resin print, and it being quite dramatic, but didn’t realise how dramatic. Bit annoying to have the model just slowly dismantle itself like that.

Touch wood, first and (hopefully) only time this has/will happened to me.

A golf thingy for someone. Grey PETG. Nice clean print. A bubble level goes in the centre. No ideas tbh, bloody silly game:
