The GYS, does it live?

Darren I had the very same machine but dc only for a short while and that failed on me one day. I have a good relationship with my local guy who deals with GYS and they took it in but were unable to help as the units are long obsolete and the parts needed to repair it Gys didn't have the part available so it's a long shot. Mine was a 2004 unit so yours could be a similar era. Worth an ask I suppose.

Yeah Rich mine's the same era - 2005 on the documentation so sometime near that. No obvious dates on the board but there's clearly readable item codes so small mercies

It's amazing just how much damage it's done to that specific area but the rest looks untouched. Whoever it happened to must have crapped themselves! Clean vaporised the pcb and mounting screw into nothing lol.

Anders is a bit far from me but if you do want to do something like that then just give me a shout honey buns X

It's not difficult or expensive to post from Sweden. If his machine is shot he may as well do you a deal on the whole unit which could be sent pretty cheap to be fair and you'll have other spares too.
Anders is a top guy and I'm sure if he can help he will.

It is faulty but not that bad as in tye pics . It start on DC but not on AC.

I haven't got that many. I'm pretty sure less than ten but I would have to count to check

It's true. Big ones are great as coffee cup places.
The little cheap ones if the fan still works are quite nice in summer for blowing a bit of air around.

I'll try and fire it up in the weekend to see if its still alive.

Have a few thungs in mind that I cant but locally, will do some thinking over a single malt tonight.

Cost for sending the boards will be around 30-40 £, I'm pretty sure it will be less than 2 kg.

Ooh thats given me an idea. I've got a really old BOC transtig in my garage that I could make into a nice coffee table with a bit of hardwood on top and a clean up:P

Aye, I have that feeling too. I do feel bad though, because I wouldn't have sold it to him if I'd have seen the state of the board.
