England's Glory or Swan Vestas mean anything to you?If these proposed power cuts are to maintain gas supplies to domestic customers how will it be ignited ? the gas that is.

and we are expected to have power cuts here and blackouts yeah right
thats plain b.s if you think its going to be shared equaly
where the power will be kept is london for its data and the rest its tough luck if we are faced with any blackouts
its the same with the rich areas they will make sure the power gets to them than the rest of the population of coarse there not going to upset the posh areas / city areas with power
No, what would happen is that the retail companies (i.e. those who sell energy to consumers) would end up with a cashflow problem, and scream for Government assistance.I'm just guessing but if every one cancelled their energy suppliers Direct debits , with the intention of paying their bills in cash monthly - if supplied with power for 100% of that month .
The threat of outages would disappear and prices would come down .
As soon as the shareholders see the golden goose getting ready to hang itself rather than getting shafted daily , the greedy pigs will back down .
Yes, I'm sure they will do a fine job of spinning a boilers fan & pump, not to mention the controls etcEngland's Glory or Swan Vestas mean anything to you?
Which one will be Wesley?I, for one am hoping for a mad max style dystopian nightmare. I can see me and @northwest cutting about on suitably decked out mobility scooters armed to the teeth
Various bits of industry have load shedding agreements with electricity companies , so they run their generators when requested . Not sure how that works with the change that you cant use red Diesel for generators and the high price of white diesel . Time will tell.
I remember the power cuts in the 70s as a kid - it was a bit of an adventure , not sure how folk will cope with phones etc , just hope the cell site batteries are good .
The winter of discontent. I remember it well. With only a calor gas powered gas fire in our front room we never really noticed, apart from the lights and 18" tv going out occasionally.Loved the power cuts of the 70's. out and about with my mates in total darkness and we didn't harm a soul. Great fun it was, our parents probably tearing their hair out but it was an adventure to us.
Charge 'em before the blackout. How are all these Future Proof Electric Vehicles getting charged during the blackouts?.
