I had this problem when I moved into my new house. Turned out the soil pipe under ground had the fall going the wrong way!!! It was only found when we dug the garden up for the extensions foundations. This weekend I am mostly waiting for Welsh Water to come out and find out why my drains are full of poo - I’ll spare you the pictures.
Sounds like a really crap jobTurns out we have some tree roots in ours - we have a silver birch tree at bottom of the garden which has caused the problem, I put some rods down this morning but only had enough to get as far as the tree - it was about another 2 m on. We also have another manhole which we didn’t know about either under a concrete base that our summerhouse now sits on (was an old asbestos garage when we moved in, we reused the base) or under a patio at the back, either way looks like I may be doing a bit of digging in the near future
Yeah - I did say to the guys thanks for coming out you’ve really got me out of the s£&@ - I wonder how many times they hear thatSounds like a really crap job
It’s held in by a ratchet strap at the moment but tomorrow I’m going to roll some 50x5mm flat bar and make a frame for it to sit in more securely.
Very neat & organised, btw ,check with insurance whilst carrying gas cylinders, lots of things to trip you up on ,at the minimum use warning stickers on the doors, for the fire brigades benefit.I’d like my tool box to be at the sliding door but my genny will be there so may fabricate a frame for the box to sit above the genny.
It’ll come clear when it’s in the van next week
If you’re not drinking then I’ll put mine back
RHD Vitos have doors at both sides the LHD only have one on the near side which is a bit odd.Do miss my old Mitsubishi l300 sliding doors both sides. Not very common these days.

Couple of cheap led worklights on swivel brackets in mine.I have realised it’s too dull in there too so will be looking for some LED lighting and may replace the lining or at least overcoat it with some white plastic type lining.
If anyone has any opinions on LED lights or the sort I’m all ears
Do these just wire straight into where the original interior light is?Couple of cheap led worklights on swivel brackets in mine. View attachment 207641
Cheap as chips.
Bought for the exterior but ended up replacing the original interior aux lamps with em instead
Led strip lights get used a lot.
I had aux worklights inside mine already with a dash switch.Do these just wire straight into where the original interior light is?
Thanks mate, I’ll take a lookI had aux worklights inside mine already with a dash switch.
No reason they couldn't be fed off the original lights though then would work with the doors.
Can get led replacement bulbs for interior lights but won't make it much lighter on there just less power hungry.
Led strip kits are about on eBay too
Got one front right and rear left pointing inwards but will shine out of the doors nicely when required
Just what I wanted to hear, I’ve got three interior lights in the back of the transit so it should be lovely and bright.I wired some led strip lights into the existing useless Ford rear interior light. I took the bulb out and used spade connectors, it's really bright in there now!
