Absolutely mate. You tend to get the scaly bits too where you’ve dragged a bit of parent into it. It’s not easy at all. I find it difficult.would this be correct
I’m not an expert as like yourself I’ve done a lot more with gas than tig but one thing that’s really stood out to me is the cleanliness of the material your joining. Even a ground finish tends to cause it problems. I found I get my cleanest results when the material is machined. And the next best thing ground then linished up to a polished finish. A ground finish alone doesn’t come out as clean a braze for some reason.
