drop me a PM Brad, yes they are !!! they already tried to stop me bringing in stuff and failed
Are these ck torches, as good as the adverts make out, ie are the worth the extra money over a para weld for example?
Can you supply CK gas saver parts for 20 series torches? Rapid very expensive, and be good to find less costly supplier.
I have owned both. The Parweld Pro series isnt that far away from a CK, can be supplied with fittings to go directly on your machine without adapters, and is a good deal less money than CK. The CK is better quality though, but in my view not as good as Speedway torches, which are only slightly more expensive than Rapid price for CK, if you get Speedway directly from US.
I would say that for anything other than heavy production work the Parweld Pro series torch will be fine, and save a fair amount of money over CK.
I've used some of the parweld torches and they are ok. Ck stuff is nice with decent duty ratings and long lasting parts. I've used weldcraft torches mainly and really like them. My next purchase will be a weld tech very soon as I haven't had the pleasure yet and heard they are super quality. Gonna pick on jim for a price.
The Speedway torches are pretty dear in the states even, but still cheaper than here
Weldcraft are Expensive but they are good ive had a few best been the crafter 310. (Wp20 300 amps). I'm going to invest in a new one next week. Weldtec this time.Weldtec are pretty expensive from UK importer, but comparable to Rapid CK price if bought direct from US. Saying that though I think UK importer can supply with fittings to go on directly, without any need for adapters.
I have a Speedway WP18, which is used and about £20 from Ebay. Seems to me to be very high quality, and 20 size torch from US not far costwise from Rapid CK price in UK. Speedway also comes with things like leather sheath, which you pay extra for with CK.
Yes Chris, I get them in around 5-7 days, much cheaper from the states
When I get a cooler I will try speedway #20
And the rest. £400 is a cheap one.Bearing in mind how little it costs to make a functional and effective cooler, cant see the reason for £400+ price tags?
That's good then mate at least you got your money back on that. I seem to remember you bought that cheap. Did you not need it for the dynasty.
Fair enough. I couldn't be without one now. It surprises me given the intricate work you do on those motors a wp20 would be just the job.Yeah I let my mate have it for some money as I got it for as he is ally welding all day, Gary has never needed a cooler and don't think I will either, I'm used to a 26 torch so it don't bother me.
