Today be honest langy.there are a lot of options out there for that sort of doe.i just have funny ways sometimes. If I like a brand of tooling/machinery ect I tend to stick with them.i have got on well with the oerlikon range I have two of there units now..always been reliable and I get a good deal with my local welding store.i am not saying there are better or worse machines ..You could have a Dynasty 200 for less
Evening all...
Just a little old pic of some metal pads for my work bench.i to sit on...I have still got to make the sides yet...and tig em together. .my first little tig project but nothing exciting yet....my question is at what point do you steep up from a 1.6 tungsten and filler rod too 2.0 tungsten and what are the benefits of doing so..the pads I am making a 5mm thick....View attachment 73419
OK cool.i just wondered if there was a point that you change size in relation to metal thickness. .
I go up much lower than the guys above on AC I'm 1.6 up to 100 DC 120.
Couldn't help it..one little rattle of the parcel and that was it......Hey! You're not supposed to open that til Xmas you little tinker!
I will bear that in mind.....thanks...Looks a thousand times more usable than the standard one.
Tip if your ever welding on galv revert back to the collets as galv tends to spit and pop and it will knacker your new expensive lenses quickly.
I will have a look soon as I finished me tea...bear with ....What sort of price for the pyrex kits pal?
