to give it a decent finish and make it resistant to damage

Smoke and a drink and decent conversation.
Very nice! If you can avoid don't lift by the cross bars like the vendor has done as they are only there to keep the legs straight and bend, which then puts a strain on the top of the legs where they meet the cross table. My old one had fractured here which I reckon was from lifting it this way.
I used a couple of strops on the cross table at the ends and a engine hoist/tractor to move, they are bloomin heavy
Cheers,

I am building a big media wall which is made from 2 layers of 19mm MDF and the 38mm x 19mm timber is the face strip to give it a decent finish and make it resistant to damage and the bigger stuff is to make shelves in my pantry in the new kitchen, I also have a shop i rent out coming empty in a few weeks and i want to do some work on it.
This is my small media wall in my man cave flat part of my house.

Yes a thread called "Today I De-acquired" and "Today I Re-acquired" would e good..Maybe we should start a new thread 'Today I De-acquired' about the stuff on this thread that was later sold on!
But I suspect many of you are like me & don't sell as much stuff as you buy, so it will take a lot longer for the thread to reach 1000 pages!
Top of a ripper ram?
