Another load of timber collected today i have already been asked to make a coffin but i said it is far to nice to burn so i offered an MDF alternative.

I took ages to decide what to get, ended up asking if he fancied painting that, he is an excellent artist and wasted in the Boatyard I reckon.

There’s some talent there, I struggle to make a straight line using a ruler

I was reasonable when at school but that was not yesterday Don't think I have done any painting since.

He does commissions and his latest ones are seriously good. He has been doing a lot of boats and animals recently so he was really happy to have a change.

You can see most of his recent ones here, the one of the Sparkling Star (orange boat) I especially like and I am sure the skipper must have been delighted with it, his wife got it for him for Christmas.

I'm very similar, can draw our sheds and layouts no trouble on the computer but the artistic stuff is well beyond me, the wife on the other hand is very good at drawing.

I have a painting of David Cameron the former PM, It turns out the artist i phoned to paint the commission is a bit deaf and i asked for a painting of a massive anchor.

All of his paintings have a skull hidden in them, most I have found but some I have not.
This one is really obvious.

It didn't take me long to find it in the Dragon, think he was a bit pee'd off about that

My brothers wife is an artist / art teacher. How she sees things and then recreates on paper is incredible. Way more talent than I’ll ever have

Nikki does commissions for people, if I did them you'd struggle to know if it was a cat, horse or tractor never mind the detail she manages.

She struck lucky with the wagon, one of the drivers wifes got it done for a present, the owner saw the drawing and is getting one done of all 5 wagons together.
