If I had to guess I'd say it's a Victoria Universal. The shaft sticking out one side is to take a gear to connect it to a milling table lead screw, for milling stuff like spiral cutters or gears.

Hazet is the ones Iv seen and I’d love one for the way you can have fixed tools in the workshop and a drag box for race days etc

I brought some of my dad's old hand tools home yesterday which I need to take pictures of, I am sure TYA and others will be interested but for now here is the little used Ferm, nice play on words there belt sander. They had a Aldi in the village so I am guessing this is an Aldi special.
I have never felt the need for a belt sander, it will either stay in the box for ever or I could find a way of turning it into a bench sander which might be more useful.
Pictures of the older tools to follow tomorrow.

I already have one about that size. paid a tenner for it . great for tinning large arias and keeps the heat

I've had a Ferm one of those for years, didn't get it from Aldi it was way back, it is useful bolted down and does a half decent job of sanding wood surfaces hand held

For chisels and plane blades I use one of the guides with the little rollers. Designed to run on stones. Work great in a belt. Takes me minuites to sharpen a set

Some is pegged for vice jawswould make a nice soldering iron
Just back from Lidl, bit of food shopping and my usual nose for a plasma which I don't really need but they never have them, came home with these 2 which I don't really need but handy and cheap enough if you already have a load of batteries.
I think Parkside would stick an LED on a tin of beans if they made them

A collection of planes, the one on the left is a Stanley, the middle one has plastic handles and uses disposable blades the one on the right has no name.

All of little or no value other than they are the tools that I grew up watching him use for DIY around the house.

Been there as well, years ago. I always felt as if I was trespassing on his domain. Most of his tools were long past use, but the ones I did salvage I felt wrong using.

I was always using my dads tools as a kid so it never felt like i was trespassing as such but when they became mine i did feel awkward and retired most of them after a clean up, Some were put in a frame and went on display for my mom as she liked to feel they were still around and after all they earned my dad a house and paid for kids.

The wife picked up on a hint for a birthday present:
