It's great to find new old stock items.
Edit: Not today, but awhile back I acquired a dirty old foam box with its unused Eclipse magnetic chuck inside, complete with hold down brackets. Happy day for sure.

Now that's a nice score! It's the same as the chuck on my grinder. If you ever get the chance I'd love to get a scan of the handbook!
Hi Pete,
I don't have a scanner, or access to one at the moment, but I've made a note of it and will get a copy of the handbook for you when I get a chance.
Yes the likes of Ross and Taylor, Taylor & Hobson made some very good lenses in their time.Didn't know much about old British binoculars post war. Turns out they are just as good as the Germans and far cheaper.
Just bought these. Optically perfect and a very good magnification. 13x60 and very easy to hold still.
Ross of London 13x60.

it's a panasonic toughbook cf-d1 with a
500gigglebit ssd, so plenty of room for audiobooks.
plus, when i've come to investigate: GPS built in and a sim card slot, so satnav...
PLUS! it's fast enough to be not awful running fusion 360.
The fact it's ip65 rated and drop tested to 0.9m is icing on the cake.
the cherry on top: £80, delivered from an IT recycler on the bay.
downside: scratch marks on the plexiglass screen (toothpaste will sort that) + i've had to install some drivers to get win10 to work. (sold with blue screen of death).
I'm well chuffed, tbh!
Chuffing bargain that!!
