No point when they can knock out 1000 units an hour on minimal crew..

Shame we can’t make, or buy British, I think their economy would collapse. But having said that, no one wants to pay “Made in Britain” prices.

Our wages too high
Taxes too high
Rates too high
Electricity too high
Not easy running a business in the UK.

Me too, I prefer to buy known quality, new or used, even if it costs more.

So many things are made in China. Then rebadged or re branded.

Doesn't make any difference. All the manufacturers do it as well. It is called globalisation

This was in the scrap skip at work, plus the 2 brackets. So I saved them. Looks like it was thrown out as it was missing one castor.

Some old german roughing end mills (think they are NOS) and some books. I am gonna have to learn to sharpen end mills, spirals and all. Only way to make it feasible IMO. I would love to find a cheap tool and cutter grinder but I am not betting on it, hence the books, which have some plans.
