I aquired these books ( Claxton Engineering Workshop Practice) over 20 years ago from a fitter where I worked, think I might need to have another read through them.

not free, but cheap... I went to the local Wilkinsons shop and they do pick'n'mix for hardware. a large bag is £2.99, so I filled mine with M6 and M8 nuts, M5 x 25mm, M6 x 30mm and M8 x 30mm repair washers and M6 and M8 wingnuts, which weighs just under 1.5kg and they are all zinc plated steel. the bag is 4.5" x 5.5"

I'll take Mrs Robo with me, it's amazing how much she can fit into her handbag so that plastic bag should be easy!.

Nah, he can afford shirts but not foreign holidays or fake tan so he welds naked to get his tan instead.

after an hours hard labor.............about one square foot of space on my workbench

the problem is the rest of the workshop is just as bad and its about 16m by 5m
i keep saying im going to tidy up but just never seem to get around to it

That amp looks better than the one in my front room!

It's massively over specced for my PC, but that's nothing new, plus it's optical from the PC to the amp, then to the speakers. Much simpler setup than I had before
