I went to look at it as it’s near my Maldon shop.
1936 but still good a Asquith are exceptional machines . Vendor is a scrappy .His son asked £1200 father insists £1500. My lovely one was £400 and I had another I paid £250 for so he’s nuts

Yeah if it was £500 it would be a good buy always wanted a radial.
Work had a beautiful Asquith. Much later though.

Found a clever open source app that lets me get into the synth engine and play with the patches

A push bike!

No real clue about them, alooominum frame so nice and light, suspension (comfort not speed) and a good price. Its had a few bits like new pedals and a few cables. I've got a seat on order too.

Only bike I've had with disc brakes, they seem poor compared to the V brakes on a bike I was given but they might adjust, not even looked really

setup right and assuming the pads are ok and not full of road carp and grease they should be noticable better especialy if the disks are stright


first cheak disks are streight before any ajustments (you can make them better if bent but not easy and you will not get them streight )

to make them better if dirt and grease in pads and disks

cheap option washing up liquid remove pads put in hot water add a bit of washing up liquid rince in clean water a few times and let dry to clean disks same washing up liquild hot water wash and rince a few times then let dry

better option brake cleaner same remove pads and disks lots of spray and wipe disks blow compressed air over the pads let dry install

set up

first look down the the pads and calipers pull the brake lever see if if it pulls or pushes the disk if it does its not centered big no no
there are 2 bolts holding the caliper loose them off pull the lever a few times this will center the caliper tighten the bolts a bit at a time not all at once untill tight or it will pull of center again once done cheak when you pull lever it just holds the disk not pulls or pushes

there is a hex or allen key on the inside of the caliper it just pushes the non movable pad in and out put it in so its very near touching loose off the ajustment screw(leave a little loose ajustment on there in case) on brake lever undo the cable holder on the caliper tighten it so the pad is very near the other side of disk

pull lever it should pull tight not pulling the disk off center and brake quite well lift up wheel spin there should be a very little resistance on either side resting but not slowing make ajustments so its as described take for a ride the breakes should be dead on and ony 1/3 of lever of a pull to stop near dead

lots of vids on line on how to but this will get most general riders a GOOD brake front and back

DONT PULL AND BRAKE LEVERS ONCE PADS ARE REMOVED A WORLD OF PAIN TRYING TO GET RIGHT AFTER THIS

AND IDEALY PUT PADS ON SAME SIDE AS THEY WHERE REMOVED FROM OR IT WILL HAVE TO BED IN AGAIN

if the disks have been bent use the same set up i find a ajustable wrench to pull them near streight and do as above but will need more pull to get to stop

all this asuming the cable not oil or way different

We have a whopping gret Asquith radial at work, It was used up til about eight years ago!

Very little today.
Must are empty, or the good stuff was to deep to get at.



A boot load of Oak floor cut outs.
They are dis-guarded due to knots, shanks and splits. The waste used to be used to heat their shop, but today I found a enough in their skip to make asking worth it.



Plus a box of M8, a few M10 nuts and bolts. Plus a few odd grub screws.



Finaly, pulled this lot from the skip at a hire place, again water damaged box's.
I got 3, I managed to save 2/3 off the discs.

New ear phones for £35 made by Anker very happy with the noise and an ERA fortess lock finally fitted to the shed it was sat in a mates van for a year so he donated it for free but i haggled and he threw in the brass handles.
