Yer. Theres a few original ones. Ain't got clue what the others areNice.
The change wheels seem to be mismatched, though.
That's the first Vertical I have seen.Vertical Burner blow torch. Complete, but like most in need of TLC.
I acquired this a few days ago-

The job sale was, we've put a new wiring loom on it, a new magneto, and a couple other bits, but we've still not been able to get it to run.
I said I'd look at it, thinking it would be pretty straightforward.
Oh yeah. That famous thought..
Off course, the new 6V battery had been left flat, and I no longer have a 6V battery charger. So the bench PSU got dragged out, and set it at 6.6V overnight. I didn't think much off it, but the PSU went straight into current limiting mode (a whopping 3A as I only used one channel), and it was still in current limiting mode the next day. It at least just gave a couple half hearted kicks the next day. The good thing about the battery, is it's a ye olde style with exposed cell link bars, so multimeter out, and the centre cell is short circuit. Nothing to lose, stick the PSU up to 15V, and zapp the centre cell. Short circuit gone. Stuck the charger up to 6.8V as it was sitting at a couple amps instead of max current, and left overnight. Got home today, outer cells at 2.3V, but centre cell only at 2. Not ideal, but at least it got the starter motor to spin a couple times. To try and balance things I set the second channel of the PSU to 2.3V and connected it to the centre cell to help try and balance things for a few hours.
In amongst that, I had a quick look at the wiring. Obvious fault was they'd wired the feed wire for the lights, to the magneto cut out wire/switch, which is why there'd be no spark. At least one bit was an easy fix.
So, I really want to see if it'll run. Old 12V battery located, and a set of jump leads on to the starter motor, and we have cranking. Not as lively as I'd expect for a 6V starter on an admittedly not that great shape 12V battery, and it sounds a bit dry, so probably something else that needs more investigation. But given the fuel was turned on, and the engine was cranking at a reasonable speed, there was no sign of life.
There was signs of fuel in the tank, but it smelt off, so opened drain screw on carb, and nothing came out. Followed pipe from tank, and it wasn't even connected, instead it was stuck up above the manifolds. The tank has obviously been off, but they've not swung the pipe down when refitting it. Unscrewed it from the tank end, and found it's not even flared. Just wanting to see if I can get some form of life, re-fitted it correctly, and it somehow seals enough so there is only an occasional drip. Something else that'll need sorted properly.
Fresh fuel in tank, fuel tap on, and we have fuel running out the carb drain hole. Not dripping, running.
Looks like there's new needles in the carb, so split carb, and the float needle dropped out as soon as the float dropped a bit. I rarely deal with carbs, but any I have, the float normally needs to be well down before the needle will drop out.
Needle back in, and push float up. The float hits the carb body before the needle closes. Hmm...rummage through the random box of bits also supplied with the tractor, and there's the remains of a carb rebuild kit. Better yet, there is another, longer, float needle. Shove it in, and the fuel actually stops when you lift the float.
Carb back together, and we have no leaks.
Jump leads back on, and I got enough life out the 12V battery to get a couple back fires, so we obviously now have spark, although I'm not convinced we have spark at the correct time.
And I did notice with the choke on, fuel runs out the carb after trying to start, but not when the choke is off. I suspect I'm going to have to fully remove the carb, and set the float height, as I did notice the float arm has been bent, and I'm guessing the fuel level is now sitting too high.
I think I'll try to run it on gas tomorrow, to try and establish if it'll at least run, and the magneto is timed right. Then worry about getting the correct amount of petrol where it needs to be.
So much for a nice straightforward job, that might only take a couple nights
sounds like a fairly normal day here, get a wee "10 minute" repair job which grows arms and legs quickly when you see what's missing / bodged. Not technically difficult, just spending loads of time sorting out other "repairs" by others before you even get to the why it didn't run in the first place.... happy days, good sense of satisfaction when it does run at the end though....
I usually start with a check of spark at the plug, then if that's ok, a good wiff of fresh fuel down straight down the bore, and crank it to see if it's even going to try. Then I'll decide from there which mess to attack first. From a small engines perspective non running is usually carb/fuel related in my experience...
Blimey, that’s in a sorry state. Not sure if I posted on here but the church I go to was gifted a ride on mower - told there was an oil leak and intermittent starting but replaced a spark plug seemed to help. Oh joy. Both plugs were fouled so I got new. On removing the cover I was greeted with this filth. Mice had made a nest in the mower and stuffed the cooling fins with grass which had gone unnoticed as the previous owner thought servicing was a waste of time. Basically it overheated and then there was an oil leak, and it would appear a small fire! The drain plug pipe was cracked presumably because someone used it as a step, oil leak one down. New head gaskets, valve guides reinserted into the heads, push rods were bent and had to be straightened, made up some new rocker gaskets and then onto the fuel/carb, lines were perished and sending rubber into the system, tank was full of perished rubber and grass, had to flush it all out and put a new filter on, the air filter was a sorry mush of fuel soaked sponge. Smoked horribly on startup - underneath the heat shield another oil soaked mouse nest on the exhaust silencer! No fried mice anywhere lol. Cost $200 to fix not accounting my time but I give them that for free. It annoys me when people use the church as an alternative to the dump.
Not the 'C' word one?Unlike a tool shop, in dorset. 5 weeks. What excuses today?
Not that I know.
PM me and I tell you about it when I am having a coffee.

charty shops get the same ive seen a few people walk acress the road after going to trade stuff in in cex walk across the road and hand all the broken, scrached items they have left over to the charity shop
