Not exactly posh, we are a club run by volunteers that due to a few far sighted men 50 years ago own our own land all 80 acres of it. Started out as saltmarsh then part of it was landfilled. Everything on it from roads to the club house to the power grid has been either built or paid for over the years by the members. With nearly 850 members in total in all categories there is a lot of stuff gets chucked, i walk past the skip most days & never cease to be amazed at what other members put in it. One of my best finds was years ago as a 14 year old kid i found a lorryload of junk on the landfill & in it was a Norris smoothing plane, a bronze Buck smoothing plane & some other woodworking tools, I still have them today & the Norris alone is worth about £250.
We once found a monster dildo like a vim tube with a sheeps heart sat on top. Never did find out who dumped it!
And before you ask its still there somewhere!

Don,t know how big your cnc stuff gets but with some of those you have the start to the hardest bit some end grain and drilling jigs.
A few clamping cylinders on 1 face add a linear guided cylinder with a spindle fitted to the other and your away.

I have been thinking of building a small spindle moulder with some small linear rails I have and a 2.2kw er20 spindle.

Your comment Chris reminded me, the mid size plate would make a good top.

Was at an auction tonight & spotted a space saver spare wheel with the 80 kph sticker on it. On closer inspection I saw it was fitted with a Michelin Pilot Primacy 205/55-16 standard tyre instead of the normal space saver type wheelbarrow tyre so I'm guessing it came off a large luxury car. It had never seen tarmac as the knobbly bits were still on the tyre.

I don't think anyone else noticed what tyre was fitted as it is now sitting in my tyre store for just £10!

Also scored a pair of 195/65-15 Hankook winter tyres with 80% thread for £20!

I currently have no suitable vehicle for them but they are popular sizes so I'll use them some day.

Well, 6 quid for a new recoil Spring, took the exhaust off to check piston and bore through the port, bit of fresh petrol and the old jonsereds went 2nd pull, quality old beast

It does, mine was full of a alcohol base liquid.

I think mine came off a scrap Ruston Diesel the size of a small house in the basement of a glass works, i assumed it was a fuel filter of some kind.

The slow gear ones are quiet and work well, I admit I'm on my second one after the bearings went in the first but the current Bosch jobby cromps 50mm branches down to nowt..
