I do. I have killed one in the past.
But good makes have a small thermal fuse on the primary side of the transformer.
Can be a bit difficult to locate, but it is there.
If you tear it to bits and it is not there, you have not lost anything.

A jonsereds 621 chainsaw. Needs a pullstart and will replace my Stihl 08s when it's serviced up and running clean. Same engine size as the Stihl but a torquier saw and rear handled too, which makes life nicer. I believe they were a pro saw in their day

Was working at a sludge Powered generator for the last few days, happened to bump into a sparky and asked him about some flex for my welder. He promptly looked it all up, did some calculations and took me to the stores.

I now have 10m of three core 6mm flex, a 40 amp isolator and couple of commando plugs and sockets.

Indeed, I only bought it all for the 18x12x9 engineers cube in the middle (with the angle plate sat inside it).
But it was cheaper as a lot than any other cube on ebay of that size on it's own.

Don't know what I'm going to do with the big angle plate, it's something like 27x26x21 and must by 1" 1/2 thick.

Today i was going past the yacht club scrap skip and lo what should some numpty have dropped in it?
A Stainless steel long handled weeding fork and an aluminium & wood rimmed car steering wheel,
Other half was well pleased with the fork & the wheel is just the job for the moggie truck. Proper result!
There was a good boat fishing rod too but i left it for someone else as i have too many already!
