Well they were acquired on Monday but got offloaded today at home.

First off I don't know what @eLuSiVeMiTe was complaining about the weight of the arbour press for. I had no bother lifting it off the trailer.

Slightly more complicated unload procedure due to not having a set of forks yet for the JCB (collecting on Sunday) but the little bandsaw from @Keith 66 made it home safe and sound. Interesting that it "pushes" not pulls to cut.

today i acquired a cheap and nasty way of seeing how much power im sticking into a electrolysis tank.

shame dc clamp meters dont seem to exist... will just have to clamp the feed in to the garage and guess the conversion factor...

edit, oh and it seems my oven draws 9 amps...

You can get DC clamp meters but they're generally a fair bit more expensive.

Might I recommend you take a look at Milwaukee Fixtec Nuts?

Despite @8ob complaining Milwaukee stuff is too expensive he's ordered a big box of them and the previous time I was in Surrey he was giving them away to anyone who came into the yard he loved them so much.

Dare I say I may have swapped my 9" angry grinder over to use one as needed to change the disc in a hurry to cut through a P38 chassis and couldn't find the spanner. So some vice grips got it off and then a nut swapped in its place. Hasn't come off yet

I've got a cordless Milwaukee grinder and I'm not a fan of the fixtec nut, maybe I've just got weak fingers but I always find it's too tight to undo by the tiny loop, often end up with a pair of pliers on the handle.

I've had the same experience. I ended up ditching them and going back to a traditional grinder nut.

A drawing board T square perhaps ?

Is that a brass edge set in the workface .. if so it could have been part of a Roto Ring drawing set where the pens had open ink reservoirs at the tip end , they were a common sight in a small drawing office in the 60's & 70's the brass strip set in the straight edge stopped you making an ink bridge between the paper & the wood .
The rubbing strip on the stock leads me to thinking this

A ruling pen? They took a bit of getting used to but your point is well made about the risks of ink bleeding under your straight edge.
The arrival of the Rotring Rapidograph was much welcomed, I believe I still have a full set of both, including compasses, somewhere.
Had to virtually give away the AO draughting table, got £20 for it I think. The draughting head alone cost a small fortune.

A friend of mine moved into a new house and gave me this hammer she found in the garage, I'm pretty sure I saw a similar one posted on here before. Can any of the hammer experts tell me what it was used for?

Think that must be it - I've not had an issue undoing them - perhaps my prior experience climbing with improved finger strength. Only had to break out the pliers once in about 5 years of using them, but to be fair that was just after dropping a Range Rover axle onto my fingers

I had one of those overseas. It was a multi tool primarily for nailing and opening crates.

What was the name of the Rotring pen that had a small cup and spring loaded plunger in it, the cup being on a side hinge so the stylus could be angled back to your own comfort . You use to have to clean them out in a special slightly opaque cleaning solution The cup was topped up with a syringe of ink IIRC They were normally used for lining in and used with a small stencil set to do block capital & lowercase lettering on documents etc

Packing Create hammer. Used to open/close old style wood packaging creates. Before screws and banding.

A lot are now used by roofers now.
Nice bit of kit.

This is the way with plastic fittings. I am trying to go from the small blasting cabinet to a (new to me) vac extractor. I think it is going to involve quite a bit of duct tape.

I saw a vid from Josh Delisle about making your own welding filter and he used sections of plastic water bottle and shrunk them on. looks like a good plan..
