That square looks like the one I had for technical drawing classes back in the 1980s

picked up this square today from freecycle, not sure if it was for making woodwork or clothing.

A drawing board T square perhaps ?

Is that a brass edge set in the workface .. if so it could have been part of a Roto Ring drawing set where the pens had open ink reservoirs at the tip end , they were a common sight in a small drawing office in the 60's & 70's the brass strip set in the straight edge stopped you making an ink bridge between the paper & the wood .
The rubbing strip on the stock leads me to thinking this

That’s a start. Mine used to start up fine, you’d start the arc, then the arc would extinguish and the overload would come on. You need to test it really.

Yes, I tried welding welding with it, but no luck in that regard yet. I downloaded the user and service manuals for it. They both say that when all three LEDs are illuminated indefinitely it indicates a short on the secondary circuit.

When I have more time I will take it apart to see what I might find on the various boards in it.

It is a "Bosch Elektrohobel 1000W 0 601 590 003"

Put the 0 601 590 003 into Google and also look at images.

Definitely a drafting (draughting?) t-square.
I use one for routing slots at right angles to a board edge. (As in dados for bookcase shelves).

Got this Parkinsons Model F No.9 vice today. Seems in good condition, with straight handle and no big dents/gouges in the casting. Weight: 116 lb.

the edge is just darker , i thought it was brass but still ok for a freebie

Customer hadn't seen one before until I was using mine a few weeks back.

Rarely use a traditional saw these days.

Despite @8ob complaining Milwaukee stuff is too expensive he's ordered a big box of them and the previous time I was in Surrey he was giving them away to anyone who came into the yard he loved them so much.

Dare I say I may have swapped my 9" angry grinder over to use one as needed to change the disc in a hurry to cut through a P38 chassis and couldn't find the spanner. So some vice grips got it off and then a nut swapped in its place. Hasn't come off yet
