That square looks like the one I had for technical drawing classes back in the 1980s
A drawing board T square perhaps ?picked up this square today from freecycle, not sure if it was for making woodwork or clothing.

That’s a start. Mine used to start up fine, you’d start the arc, then the arc would extinguish and the overload would come on. You need to test it really.
It is a "Bosch Elektrohobel 1000W 0 601 590 003"
Put the 0 601 590 003 into Google and also look at images.

the edge is just darker , i thought it was brass but still ok for a freebieA drawing board T square perhaps ?
Is that a brass edge set in the workface .. if so it could have been part of a Roto Ring drawing set where the pens had open ink reservoirs at the tip end , they were a common sight in a small drawing office in the 60's & 70's the brass strip set in the straight edge stopped you making an ink bridge between the paper & the wood .
The rubbing strip on the stock leads me to thinking this
