550 euros for the endurance (male young new driver )
Bargain, a youngster in the UK would be paying 3 or 4 times that for insurance.

I'm sure I don't need to remind a fellow Welshman (I'm guessing, based on where you live) that one of the world's best selling whisky brands (2nd only to Jim Beam) was originated by Evan Williams a Welsh immigrant, who was born in Dale, Pembrokeshire but emigrated to the United States towards the end of the 18th century. Williams settled in Kentucky and it's thought began distilling in 1783, in what is now Louisville.
Granted, it's not actually distilled in Wales today but I've never let the facts spoil a claim to fame.

Nice ,Early Xmas present from the Mrs.
Today has been the most expensive day of my life yet
I've bought my first car
FIAT Punto MK2
1242cc 70HP fire engine (the same engine mounted on the Panda MK2 and 3 and the base for the UNO TURBO)
500 euros
350 euros for the property documents
550 euros for the endurance (male young new driver )
I'm still crying but at least I can buy tools again

Those fiat engines are very reliable with little maintenanceMy first car was a Fiat Uno with the 999cc FIRE engine, bought it in 1992 - I think! It was several years old and the gearstick snapped after I'd had it two weeks; it had already broken and been badly welded together! Apart from that the engine and gearbox never let me down and the car just kinda rusted around the engine...
These are IP65 with screw on battery covers that have an integral o ring. Very unlikely the cover will fall offNice ,
The only set back i found was not having a spare battery to hand when I needed one .. they either fell out or the was no retainer for one .
If you want to, it's easy to adapt the spare battery hole ... so the battery stays in place .
Simply cut a thin plastic arm about 5.5 mm wide 2 mm thick by about 18 mm long as a simple slide over the hole pivoted arm , drill it & the case for a 3 mm bolt put a washer either side and a nylock nut on the thread then gently tighten it up till it grips enough to not allow the battery to come out unless you want it to.
If you've got one of the cases that don't have the battery recess , use a bigger thicker piece of plastic piece under the area you want it, bolt it in place then drill it through from the top to the battery size adding the securing arms at the same time .
That doesn't make me feel betterwas working at a guys house and his daughter-in-law cant get insurance only been driving 10 month and she backed in to her bosses car and damaged it . insurance payed up but it cost 16 grand to fix it it was a new Maserati they sent the spares through in a shipping container and 2 guys came from the factory from Italy and stopped in a hotel till it was fixed

I've choosen my car because this engine (a carburettor ,2 ignition coils and 4 cylinders
I have to replace the exhaust silencer because it sounds tooo good
It has a PCB but nothing related to the engineThere is, almost literally, nothing to go wrong with them; they have clearance if I recall!

I'm on my second Panda but this one is a 2010 Euro5 and although is is 10 HP more, it doesn't run as smooth as the previous Euro 4 one we totalled.Don't think mine did; a good old-fashioned alternator and carburettor.
(Don't know if the 'clearance' comment translated well; clearance above piston tdc so piston and valve would never meet.)

Still a very nice car, wouldn't know of a better total package.
