why would you buy tiles that look like wood
^^^^ because real wood expands (better not carry this one one )
genuine laminate in my kitchen i bought ac5 quality water resistant ive had 2 times water spills one washing mechine and water pipe from the fridge come off both times there has been quite a bit of water (not a flood) but half a washing up bowl to a full bowl
the floor is still down and not warped as yet thats why laminate
still dont get why any one would put wood or laminate in a bathroom perhaps its just me but i think its looks nice but not can never last or a good idea with all the water around
Had laminate in both kitchen and bathroom and I have replaced the kitchen and am in the process of the bathroom. Both times it was due to a long term leak that was unnoticed until it started to smell mouldy because the underlay was soaking. Neither times has it warped and theoretically I could have just relayed it but the boss wanted a change. Come to think of it, I wonder if she burst the pipes when I wasn't there so she could get new

Today we also put a deposit on another family member, can’t have her for another six weeks though....View attachment 263427
You gonna cut the bottom off the skirting boards? The flooring is supposed to slip under the skirting leaving an expansion gap all around that you can't see.
If they are the same makeup as the tiles I have just, or to be more precise, am still putting on the bathroom wall then watch when cutting, as you get near to the end they just snap. I now cut a small amount in from one side then turn around and cut from the other. Not seen it mentioned when Ive looked up how its done. The pros did the kitchen with a grout gap to the walls/skirting.
The laminate I saw all looked rubbish, 0.5mm thin veneers. It didnt take long when a previous landlord had untrained pets for it to get ruined.
Solid oak is £43/m², these tiles £10/m². Tiles have a wood texture, not just patterned. Only problem, as the reviews said, the sizes are a bit inconsistent. 3mm on length and 1mm on width from checking a few. A pain but not enough to send back.
I bought one of the diamond cutters from Screwfix, makes a bleeding brown gungy mess with these tiles. No problems with snapping so far, using angle grinder? keep it fully supported and run the blade through the glaze before going all the way through in the cut.
Really helps having a wet diamond tile cutter and keeps the dust down. Im just hoping I wont need to cut many of these length ways!
