Not today, I acquired a hairy snake to keep the leaves out of the man cave gutters, not sure whether the wind will lift them out though

Our drain blocked up and apparently had 40ft of compacted leaves in, I’ve fitted six of these to all the down pipes and have had no problems since. The dog tried attacking it a few times before I installed it, they don’t like biting spikes!

We have the same ones fitted, they blew out lots of times - once one end is out the wind drags it all out. I cable tied them to the gutter clips (our gutter clips come over the top of the gutter) and havn't had any problems since. Maybe a couple of small holes drilled in the very end of the sheeting overhang might work.
I need to drag it all out this xmas and clean the moss out etc, next doors have just had their tree trimmed so now is the time.

It's when you read snippets like this, when the only point of reference you have is "a hairy snake": "once one end is out the wind drags it all out.", for example.

I've got that saw (with two 1.5 m tracks). Fabulous bit of kit. The blade that comes in it is excellent as well - the finish it leaves is astounding for a saw cut.
The twin charger sounds civilised (I have four batteries and have to feed them through my single charger one at a time), but I couldn't justify the cost. The batteries last for ages though so it doesn't cause me too much of a problem. I made a chest of drawers out of 18 mm plywood a few months ago. All the pieces were cut up with the Makita track saw and the batteries still had more than half their charge left when I'd finished.

Oh I love that. I’m needing some storage things when I get my garage done. What size ply is that? Looks like something along the lines of 25mm?
I’ve got some wood projects to do and I want to make something for the wall in my house. Not sure if it’s something worth posting in here though.

It's 18 mm plywood (I had a lot of it left over from another project). From memory the drawer bottoms are 9 mm. The runners were full extension ones bought on ebay from one of the few sellers that charged postage (when you're buying a lot of something, I often find it cheaper to get the ones that charge postage as the overall cost is lower).
18 mm plywood is excessive really, but it does mean I can put anything I like in the drawers without worrying about weight capacity!
I made some more drawers a week or two ago out of 18 mm plywood with 9 mm bases as well - those two are the sizes I tend to keep stocks of. There are pictures here: https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/stuff-you-have-made-today.67127/page-677#post-1716662
The main difference is that I actually bothered to add drawer fronts to these ones. I was going to on the first chest of drawers but (a) never got round to it and (b) made one of the drawers only just slide past the lathe body so the drawer front would have to have a cut-out to actually be able to open!

A couple of 500 x 500 pieces of 3mm aluminium chequer plate.
I'm using them to make a better platform for my petrol pressure washer. The pump and the engine are grand put the plastic wheels and narrow wheelbase are shocking on cobbles. I've had some small pneumatic wheels cluttering up the workshop. I'll use a pair on the petrol washer and may make another one for the electric washer.

Today I acquired, A Divers compressed air bottle washed up on the bank of the creek, hadnt been in the water long. Thinking to chuck it in the scrap but thought best see if its got pressure so i cracked the valve open, It turned out to be full & whistled for 20 minutes while it vented off. Last test date on it was August 97 so a bit out of date! Quite glad I didnt do the other idea of whacking the valve off with a hammer!
Will make a nice stove if nothing else.
