No trouble at all, I didn’t need to come down heavy on him, once he saw it had ended up on an Internet forum he was shocked and realised the need to be a bit more careful in future.

I’m all for a good laugh but as you say, it’s easy to land yourself in a pickle in this day and age.

Halfords had them on offer for £170 and with the trade card it came out at £136 that I thought was cheap.
They have since gone up to £200, I've ordered a carry case as it's a online exclusive offer.

Well I'm more than happy with that , I ordered the case for the noco at 8pm last night and it arrived at 9.30am this morning and the quality is very good ,£16 well spent 5 stars.

Ali express bootleg turcite is as good as trelleborg turcite but I’m not meant to say that!

@pressbrake1 good it will keep the cost down. When all this **** has calmed down you can come and advise a sensible way forward.
The lead screw height is fixed into the casting at the tailstock end ..which limits the choices somewhat

I got myself one of these, seems well put together and comes with a hard carry case too.
I've not had a need to test it out yet, but I'm sure it'll do the trick if I [or anyone I come across someone else] need a jump start. Cheap insurance anyway.....

I was looking at NoCo because wanted something that would last a while....my last booster weighted a ton and the handful of times I ever needed it it was usually flat and didn't work very well!

Got one of these today, it's a lightish version impact wrench, just for tractory sort of stuff, I was originally looking at the Milwaukee M12 3/8" one but I've got the Dewalt batteries so it make sense to stay yellow.

Nice balanced fairly light tool, enough to run the nuts up, but not murderously tight.

Never had any problems with delivery, but no idea how 'you-know-what' will affect times.

Last thing I had ordered didn't do what I expected so wanted to return it. Had to jump through some hoops until they wanted me to pay return post to China, which would have been nearly the price of the item. I persisted, pointing out that it had been 'box- shipped' from Northumberland and they gave me a full refund - cost a couple of £ instead.

Been happy with other orders, and that incident was my changing my mind and not a fault with the product.

On about ⅜" gear, anyone got any pointers to suppliers of decent ⅜" drive impact sockets? I succumbed & got a Bosch 12V gun the other week.
