Today I got the delivery of a set of fj1200 front legs to house the stanchions from my xj600 for my xj900 "bitsa".
(All Yamaha).
Anyway, they don't fit...
the xj600 is 38mm (update came in '98 apparently - missed that bit), and not only that,the fj1200 should have had 41mm dia, but they are 40mm.
Damn it, I'm making hard work of this, not to mention expensive..

Of course, as soon as I unpacked the parcel, the broken package ejected the magnetic bit holder onto the floor which was covered in iron grindings. Bugger.
Same package contained a set of Magnusson levery side cutters. Very nice, hope they're as good as claimed.

Those Wera Impactors don't half hold on, mine needs a pair of pliers when it is time to change the bit mind you the bit is never going to fall out in use.
