From what I remember, it was branded Champion, it had a knob that went one way for air & sand, the other for just air to blow out the sand. There was also a threaded bit to screw the plug in to watch it spark under pressure. I think they went out of general use, if any doubt, change the plugs, there was always the possibility of sand left in them & it eroded the china around the electrode.There was one (maybe not the same brand?) in the garage where I worked for a Summer job while at school.
I remember using it to clean plugs but I was never shown the cleaning function, just told "These need cleaning, crack on".
