Another surprise today, this one from Hermes. Another matched set, this time 3/16W > 1W King Dlck Whitworth wrenches, or spanners as you call them here in the UK. I also purchased them two days ago and wasn't expecting delivery until around Jan. 12'th. Yippy-ky-yay, Happy Day !

Yesterday finally received collets for my tungsten grinder.
Happy with that.
Not cheap this things but worth the money.

Today I acquired an air brake test gauge set to add to my truck maintenance gear, in nice condition and complete with hoses.

And an assortment of double bootlace crimps so I can daisy chain some leccy stuff on a project .

Anyone know whether you can get metric size cutters for Stanley #50s?

I meant for the plough cutters. I know some of the Record #44s were available with metric cutters. I work pretty much exclusively in metric, so it would be easier if I could get hold of some metric cutters for this one.

This fantastic piece of kit for testing spark plugs and cleaning them. I love it! I’ll do a video once I’ve got it running. I only had to drive 580km to get it though!

There was one of those where I worked when I left school, rotten sods would hold your mug over it, it would blast a hole through the bottom. They would then plug it with some waxy stuff which would last until you were drinking your tea ......... no one ever used it for cleaning plugs as far as I recall, this would be 1965, I only stuck the job for 6 months, I was told by the manager “ we shall have to get some papers signed up for you, of course that means you will be contracted to us for 5 years” sod that, I handed my notice in straight away, work with that lot of bar stewards, no thanks.

There was one (maybe not the same brand?) in the garage where I worked for a Summer job while at school.

I remember using it to clean plugs but I was never shown the cleaning function, just told "These need cleaning, crack on". :laughing:
