When I hear of people filling in old swimming pools I think "My Capri could have gone into that!" Not sure how a monocoque body would fair with regards to acid getting trapped between panel joins and leeching out later. Heard some horror stories.

A few things.
A possible project, where I am the help, workshop supplier and the advise person.

My old post lady popped up and asked me if I could help her on an idea she has. She has got hold of a old Post Office (GPO) push bike.
She used to use a similar one, when she was on the rounds.

It is complete, battered. Big issue is a broken screw and a bent face plate for the quick release.

The same way other body shells handle it when dipped by a professional.

It is the washing down and drying out is what matters.

That'll come back to life right enoughDon't mov the saddle until you've scraped off the rust. a paint scraper will do it at first. Now that the tailstock has been moved you need to remove it and clean the rust that'll be stuck on the base ways.

I soaked the bed with WD40 and then carefully scraped the rust off before a quick rub with fine scotchbrite. It is actually pretty good underneath, carriage now moves freely along the length and there is no damage to the bed.The tailstock shaft was totally seized but freed off with heatgun and oil.

I already have a complete Super 7 setup which I was thinking of stripping and restoring but it is too good to justify stripping down so the ML7 is perfect for a restoration.

Quite bloody dissapointed, thats 90g of solid fat and a much smalled steak than it should be Edit - Cooked steak 98g, so almost half solid fat.

Life is too short for rubbish steak...I only buy mine from the local butcher (who I know very well). He gets a slab of meat out and I tell him how thick I want it. One thing I can't abide is rubbish steak....or good steak cooked badly!

Mainly chutes, covers and guards as well as general repairs using sheet steel. Sometimes they make steel signs in emergencies.

Youd think they have a folder or something at best. All the quarries I’ve worked at are pretty primitive to say the least. You’ll have to post some pics.

Got a 1000mm Rubi radial here.

Wouldn't be without it. Just popped it back in the lockup after a busy week tiling.

I think this does up to about 600mm but for £50 i would have been mad to turn it down.

That's a big one.
I went to a 400 Rubi after having a standard wet diamond cutter for years, which was ok for the cut outs etc, but the Rubi did speed it up some what.

Yes, didnt get a photo once I'd spotted it, didnt think anyone would notice.....

A long time ago, the local brickyard, dating back from when they were making bricks to build the council estates in Leeds, pre ww2, was closed down.
In one of the out buildings, there were large cast iron versions of these (12" blades, I think") - about 8 of them - all just sat rusting away.
Me + my best mate decided to have away with them.
We managed about 1/2 mile down the road with the first one before we gave up. They were *very* heavy.
I still have all the blacksmith's tools from the next shed down though - I rescued them the day before the entire site was just pushed into the abandoned quarry and buried

you got the tailstock?

Yep, it was just sat on the lathe and not done up so I removed it before I moved it. A quick rummage through the wooden crates next to the lathe produced seven change gears, one faceplate and two drive plates, but couldn‘t find any tooling.
