Due to a customer not wanting their pre booked work done, I was done early for work. So a slow bimble home and that allowed me to see a good place to mouch around.
This is what I "acquired".
A sorry and in need of a TLC a Record 52. 1/2 wood working vice.
It does move, but is stiff.
A Dremmel type tool, a odd clamp and a Tilly lamp pre warmer.
No idea if the Dremmel works, yet.
A nice old tin.
A nice bit of history.
This really does need a whole lot of love.

Picked up my new van this morning 
Vauxhall Combo Sportive with 4 miles on the clock!
Finally got rid of that POS Renault Kangoo!!!
Everything about this van is better, from the one touch electric windows to the engine spinning at over 1000RPM less at motorway speeds.
It's a Vauxhall so I don't know how reliable it will be yet but it drives nice and has all the gadgets like A/C, cruise control, touch screen with built in sat nav, good DAB radio and hands free phone etc.
Unlike the Renault I don't rip my shoulder joints out just trying to shut the side doors and it's much quieter on the motorway!

Koken nut grip 3/8 sockets. I love Koken, has a quality feel to it and it’s not massively thick-walled like some stuff. These have sprung balls on the inside to hold a bolt. I’m looking forward to using these.

I cannot believe the cable is not under the cable clamp!A Philips no3? driver bit, FOC but from an unusual placeneeded a plug so cut one off an old motor I have kicking about. Some people shouldn't be allowed to have tools(note the polarity)!

Just a couple of old books off ebay: they go into minute detail, and practical instructions, on all engineering subjects.

Nice books, the year I was born as well!
I have a set from 1990 - given to me when I worked at Philip Morris Engineering Services by a guy who's wife worked at the printers - they weren't quite assembled in the right order
Which is about the best thing I can say about them - as an engineering reference I found them totally useless.
