So why can I never find one when I want one

I had a similar revealing event a couple of years ago so had a big clear out & tend to practice one in one out to give me a bit of drawer space in the mancupboard .
Now keep the Makita container stocked with the same it came with & keep it in with battery drill where it's usually most used ,

In the top screwdriver drawer there's two silicone blocks of security key bits .

Everything else got very carefully examined under a big magnifying glass and anything that was in the slightest damaged got binned . The long 1/4 inch drive sockets &adaptors are slipped in the shallow sliding drawer ( aircraft servicing trolley ex USA ) that I've compartmentalized to split small , medium & large sockets then small , medium & big spanners .

One thing I have kept though is numerous hex to 1/4 square drive adaptors as sometimes in one work session I use not only swingles , T bars &, ratchets on the same job , I also have one in my battery or power drill. I've also stopped buying tubs of cheap kitchen fitters screw driver bits .. now I only buy a four or five pack of the diamond impregnated screwdriver tips in the right sizes I need as they seem to last much longer .
Think at the last check , I had five different types of x screwdriver bits for different screw head patterns . No wonder we keep being given gear with wrecked difficult to remove cross head screws .

A pick-up pad for the back of the Ranger. My clever wife made one rather than me buying one covered in branding, marvellous. If something is covered in branding, then they should pay me for the advertising, I can't understand people that are walking billboards and pay for the privilege!

Should stop me scratching it when taking long stuff to the tip or picking up stuff from the builders merchant's Also ideal for sticking the bikes in the back, you hang the front wheel over the back and stick the headstock in the Velcro straps. Takes about 5 mins to fit, 4 straps under the tailgate into quick release buckles.

I hate it too. I recently bought a new armoured motorcycle jacket, and it had no less than 15 locations where the brand name was embellished.

I sorted that out in short order with an indelible Sharpie marker.

Yesterday I collected Pollard 12AX from @BarrieJ and the pedestal tomorrow all being well. - Very top fellow!

I'm chuffed to bits with it TBH, it will get a good clean and oil and a bit of doda on the exposed steel, but apart from the motor I'm not painting it, its too good as is in original IMHO. And get the lamp spruced up and working.

15A is more than sufficient,10A theoretically would work but there really isn’t any headroom. For the couple of pounds difference between the two,it’s a no brainier. Just bought another one for the workshop,want to mess around with reclaiming the heat from the exhaust.

Quite a decent discount from new from a Dodgy geezer flogging Amazon returns at a guess.

There was diesel in the tank and the wires had been connected. He knocked another fiver whilst I ummed and ahhed....

So wasn't too surprised to see this.

The garage heater setup

Want to try and mod the controller to be able to turn the glow plug on to bring it up to the flash point of used hydraulic oil as have access to alot of that free and I think it would burn rather clean as it's not that contaminated really compared to likes of used engine oil.

The power supply is mounted on a rafter above

Exhaust wrapped in that exhaust tape stuff so should try insulate it a bit and stop any immediate burns from a glance if I'm lucky however mounted high up so never in the way too much, then a steel plate centers it in a larger than pipe size hole I drilled so it won't contact the corners of brickwork and then exhaust goes out wall into a 90° bend taking exhaust out the way however has left a little soot on the wall from some bad starts

Was in Tesco's about nine weeks ago , watched a shelf stocker put size XXXL T shirts on the rack . Waited in my wheel chair till she'd finished & discovered this nice soft to touch material was logo free.

Alison picked all 14 of the T shirts in XXXL off the rack ... Bonus they were only £2.50 each .. I wonder what price the next batch I buy will be and will I be turned 75 or a lot older as the last 9 logo free batch I got was 7 years ago & they cost me a fiver each ..
