I recently saw a video about Dawn vices. There are three variations. Yours looks like the early cast model. Awesome !
Did you get the missing jaw pad with it ?

I really like that, not seen one before or have I been living in a cave?
14km run to lidl, 8.5km back
Also got one of their armless jumpers for when it gets cold in the shed.
Do they sell tank tops?
I got some of those some years back - they had an aluminium edging strip - maybe canteen tables - wood quality was superb - some kind of bonded ply.30 desk tops 1200 x 600 mm from old school tables with formica type finishes, quickly cut one up and made a holder the hole cutters and WD40.View attachment 311465View attachment 311464
I now believe I have enough clamps.
I had to Google this one..... - "The Åland Islands lie at the south-western tip of the Finnish peninsula between Finland and Sweden. This archipelago of 6,500 islands and skerries is demilitarised, an autonomous region and a Swedish-speaking part of Finland. The official flag of Åland since the 1950s."I returned with some stuff from my Åland trip. They have a lot nicer flea markets than in the mainland from what I've seen and usually not with the same inflated prices either, everything here was 1-3 euros a piece except the 8x40 binocs which where 30, but they where really great binoculars.
Also a lot of alcohol, not that I drink much, but booze is expensive in Finland and the tax free shop is a lot cheaper, so bulk up whilke you get the chance, haven't been on a trip like this in 14 years.
But man Åland really is a pretty place.
What brand is that?I finally managed to find an inch drive breaker bar with the knuckle the correct way round.View attachment 311556
Absolute steal! I sold a pair of them years ago, a bit rusty, paint flaking off the body so not the best condition, I think they went for about £120 each!On the same trip that I got my Kawasaki hedge trimmer I collected this Stuart Turner 3 bar shower pump I won on Ebay. It's the same model as the one in my bathroom so good for a swap if it goes wrong!
I connected it up to my test rig, fitted a plug and it works
Not bad for £5.50!
These things a proper old school made with brass, they cost £350 new!
