To be honest I didn't look as they were not going with it so I just put them to one side. I will ask tomorrow though as you have piqued my interest now!

They are thyristors ( SCRs ). Rated about 400 Amps I guess, and on very nice heatsinks. Could make a fully-variable controlled rectifier on the secondary side of a 200A MIG without them breaking a sweat.

It acts exclusively as a bistable switch, conducting when the gate receives a current trigger, and continuing to conduct until the voltage across the device is reversed biased, or until the voltage is removed (by some other means). There are two designs, differing in what triggers the conducting state. In a three-lead thyristor, a small current on its Gate lead controls the larger current of the Anode to Cathode path. In a two-lead thyristor, conduction begins when the potential difference between the Anode and Cathode themselves is sufficiently large (breakdown voltage).

I'm lost as to what the above means in reality.

The Open Organisation Of Lockpickers​

- find the nearest toool local club;
- prepare some proof that you are the legal owner of this lock;
- the colleagues there will most likely be able to open the lock non-destructively;
- once open and still intact you can get to the inside of most high quality locks and configure it so that a key can be made for it.
