A new to me compressor. I got sick of having to pause the plasma table while the old one caught up. I don't think that's going to be a problem anymore. I work in a nice yard, one of my neighbours came with me to fetch it in his van and another couldn't be around today but left his forklift for me anyway. It was a fun day!View attachment 340794

And today my screw compressor arrived. Already connected, it works no louder than a refrigerator.

Need to do a little service, change the oil and filter.

I'll be interested to hear how you get on with it @KimB. I bought the M18 version a couple of weeks ago and it's very good, but I wanted to replace the nozzle for a clip on version that was trigger operated. Turns out that the business end of the flexy hose is M10 x 1.0 pitch whereas most nozzles are 1/8" NPT. I ended up making an adaptor from some 1/2" hex brass bar. I'm told that there are batches that came out with 1/8" NPT but Milwaukee don't know which went where !!!!!!

That’s exactly right. I bought a genuine gwaza G coupler and it’s m10 x 1 that doesn’t fit my 1/8NPT thread. Very annoying. Sending it back now.

I've been using LockNLube couplers with 1/8" NPT thread. The short version is what I use most, but the extended-length version is handy for some Zerk locations. So far, they've been working great.

It actually looks exactly the same as the g coupler other than the name on it. Friend of mine is giving me an npt one. So that’ll do I think

One of the drawers needs repairing, it looks like someone has tried to force it open but other than that it’s fine.

Which eventually resulted in this -

A new laser engraver/cutter.
Only a 1720 size (170x200mm travel), with a 15W laser.

Still need to setup the software and check it actually works, but it should hopefully allow me to engrave lumps of wood quicker than the existing 3W mini laser.

Pretty much.
Assembly instructions were a video created from the CAD design, which I thought was a lot better than the usual chinglish paper instructions.
Shows the complete assembly, then highlights each assembly in turn, pauses to show labels on all the individual parts, then animates the order the bits get assembled.

Certainly not a fool proof kit, but should be easy enough for anybody with some mechanical understanding.

I still need to get the software setup, but I'm waiting for my old tablet to charge.

Yeah I think £600 to the trade. The 50 ton ram is at least £1000-1200
