Well,ok. But you had stated that the box was empty.
That's cos he emptied it of its contents, for that photo.
I never said the box was empty. That's cos he emptied it of its contents, for that photo.
I will say no more on that. Not difficult to sucker me.
This came the other day. Quite partial to the design of these. I've had a standard one on the van for a couple of years or so now, & they hold up well. Good for pouring from too, for the power tools.

The explo-safe bit is this:

Filled with a wire mesh. Supposed to aid heat dissipation. Means you can't shove the filler nozzle right in though, as with a standard can.
You could have borrowed my nutsert tool and saved yourself the purchase price of the tool, ok it would have cost you fuel costs, but........your not that far away?View attachment 343285
A nutsert tool. Not an expensive jobbie, but I only need it to do one insert. Owt after that is a bonus.
Got it to do this:

The internal M10 nut has dropped off. Was trying to think of the best way to remedy it last night, & plumped for the nutsert route. Least faff method.

A friend of mine brought some of that back, he spilt some on their table and set light to it, the mark is still there where it stripped the varnish.I brought a bottle of Bacardi 151 proof back from Puerto Rico once that had one of those on the neck of the bottle!! It had a flammable warning on the back and a big notice not to remove the “flame arrestor”
The public highway is only about 20 foot to the right of the new road , it's a pleasure to drive long the new laid stone , any rain will simply gently percolate through the stones for years to come .... long before any land slip occurs as the base of the road is made up of the dark grey limestone rocks & porous finings
Is it a 625 or a 630? I would guess a 625, same as minePicked this up for a few shillings today it's a good starter and runs sweet. Anyone now much about them? View attachment 341184
I managed to set a nut insert on the inside of a square tube on a bench saw crushing the flange on the outside . Putting a foot or so of copper wire down through the hole so it poked out the tube / threaded the inverted nut on the copper & gently fed it up into the hole then started to press it up using a small pry bar . Used a short tube longer than the shank and several threads , that was clearance for a high tensile Allen cap screw . Then Allen keyed it tight which drew the insert though and flattened the skirt nicely .Cheers for the offer. I don't have a car any more. Besides, now I've got one, it's there if I ever need it again. You know what it's like once you acquire a new tool. You start finding uses for it.
