Wasn't sure what it was worth, it was a freebie that came with the welding table

In that case I retract my previous post. I've now correctly identified it as a useless lump of ugly metal, fit at best as being put into serve as a paper-weight.

To prevent it cluttering up your place, send it up to me and I'll even pay the carriage - consider it my 'good deed of the day'.........

Dummy drill round, fully weighted. (the blue gives it away)
30mm Vulcan Cannon round.
Complete, the paint hides it 15mm sabot.

The 30mm Vulcan came in 3 type.
DU, grow a second head.
Ball, remove head.
HE. remove body.

The 30mm Vulcan round is a universal round, designed to fit most NATO 30mm cannons. It was an effective round.

Mug is clean, for me.
Ketal is clean, just look dirty.
Bench is clean, very clean. The mess is on the rubbish, on the rubbish on the floor.

I was given this today, it is meant to be a balloon filling attachment for a helium bottle. But as you can see it is damaged/ broken.
There are no details of a maker on it, as far as I can see. I will clean it up to see if any appear.

Any one got any details on it?

It looks like there should be a cap or device on this part. But it has bean filled or ground to take the burr and bend out.
Just visible is "knurling".

My plan is to, if possible, to fix up and use to fill balloons.

I never even have drawal symptoms, never mind any that have a 'with' in front of them

Cumbrians must throw nothing out, my last skip dive produced a promising looking box, delved deeper and it was full of used nappy's

But todays finds, were not skip diving.
The 30mm was in payment for helping a friend.
The second was from a neighbour of said friend. As I told him it would be repaired, if possible, to help others.

Do watch out using second hand grinding wheels. I like to buy mine new just to be sure.

And hope that your supplier, and their suppliers, all managed to get it to you without dropping them...

Yep, am always cautious with S/H grinding wheels, my brother in law was quite concerned so he has double checked my ring test and is happy they are OK

Got these at local carboot, a Moore and Wright 18" scribe block, a set of m4 and m5 former taps still new, a compac .0001" dti, a small vee block, an adjustable circle cutter, a clamping dog and a 1mt-2mt and 2mt-3mt taper sleeve, for the princely sum of 27 quid.
