Yep i will get two stones, such a better built machine than the other one. I think the cheap one i bought has a bent spindle.

Castro hand operated oil pump, has something oily in it. But it stinks, so dumped in 4 litters of diesel to thin it out.
Then I will flush it out and see if it works.

Oh yes, found this odd little spanner.
Plus this hammer.
The clean wood you can see is were I refitted the head. It was a bit loose.
So a quick clean, new wedges and we are good to go

I recall using one of those - with gear oil in it. A much thinner hose and a crooked-over nozzle at the end to hook into gearbox filler 'oles. Don't recall any Cubans in the garage, though.

The history of mechanicing is littered with various attempts to create the perfect universal nut-rounder.
Many have nearly succeeded in creating a tool that doesn't quite fit any of the available flats it can reach and managing to not-quite get a grip on the remaining corners or flats. At the end of the day, nothing rivals a seasoned idiot with the wrong sized spanner on a rusty fastener - tradition, that's what it is.

I would like to think it is gear oil, but as I liberated it from a place were they did canal boats. We are not sure.

When i was running my classic rangies i hated this job just by the pure volume of oils i had to drop and re-fill and can vouch for your quest for a pump..

I've got a color gas bottle for that job, dip tube goes to the bottom and use compressed air to push the oil out, works a treat.

I used a metal Morris oil tin for this once , at around 20lb they go round, and at 40lb your mopping hypoid off the ceiling
