Yep, just been looking. I need to find one where it shows you how to glue the felt to the slate as there is no wood backing to slate.

There was a full size 12'x6' snooker table sold at a local auction house & it only made £240! The cloth was a bit worn but still playable & there was a full set of balls. Only thing missing was all the rests but even so I think was cheap. I guess its sheer size brings the price down, the auctioneer reckons it weighed over 1.5 tons!

Not in a skip, unfortunately, but still a bargain at £395 including postage. They've been fetching £500 plus.
It even had the original instruction sheets.
I love the way they taken taken it to the 'spray shop' and turned covered the lovely Dove Grey in brown, missing a sizeable area on the way

New grinder, bonus its from Germany so don't have to fit a plug.

Need to make some guards and rests.

I think its shrunk on by wetting, it shrinks as it drys, glue may soak through to the top

I had an "incident" once with some thicker sheets on the rack. I only got 500 yards

Seconded, I'm a fan of record but there are a huge number of good makes out there now. I tend to keep an eye on stiles and bates for nice bits of wood as there's nowhere local to get exotic hardwood. They have plenty of chucks and turning tools too.
