I worked in and around Hounslow and visited it when I was a kid as my grandparents lived in southall sounds like theres nothing left ,I worked Isleworth and occasionaly worked in my employers branches in staines road and bridge road , you may know them as a chain of ford dealerships who were "very nice people to do business with"

Found a scrap vending machine, salvaged all the coffees, and two bin bags full of sealed in date refills were with it, all the free brews now safely in my stores.

Car boot today, these two little beauties.
Unknown, seized adjustable spanner.

Almost seized BIB wire cutter and strippers.

£1.
Took them home, spent some time playing with a new rust removing tank..



Both cleaned up very quickly and nicely. The adjustable works, but is badly worn.

Lego Men for scale. No mugs as Norbert was there.
We do not let Norbert near my coffee mugs.

So what the hell can I do with them?
They look to be really well made and are even E marked, almost identical to below, so what would you make?

Won this on eBay.
A Draper horizontal / vertical bandsaw .It needs a bit if work on the electrics and I'm not sure it's all there but for £17.50! I'm not going to worry .


It's an old one so it's made from heavy metal not the post Chinese industrial revolution monkey metal on the newer ones. Measurements on the plate are in inches and horse power not mm and kw etc.
It has 3 blades with it but they look like 5-6 tpi! Not sure they'll work with thin walled tubing!
I might do a bit of a thread on it when I start fixing it up .

Pukka E-marked ones not made in Cheapenesia seem to attract reasonable prices on eblag.
I'd happily give you 50p each for a handful

I know it is the same and repeated twice. but it is some important it has to be mentioned twice.
The news is good or bad depending on the ide of the fence you sit on.

But I did "Liberate" these 2.


Far one was condemned as the guard was missing. Look in the lid of the box and you will find what you seek.

The near B&D as slow start did not work. It never had slow start from new.

To be honest, I am not spending time doing any work apart from the following.
Testing to see if they work.
Fitting guards.
Running a M14 tap and die down and into threads.
PAT testing.

Then donating to my local Men In Sheds.

Found this on top of a generator I was testing today a 1/4" ratchet and socket. Bit rusty with no makers name on it.

I also found a Martindale volt stick in the old switch room result!
It happens to be the same job that I lost my Knipex pipe grips on. Karma!
